Sequoia National Park

I told ya I’d be sharing more vacation pictures! Since it’s summer, my most favorite time of the year, and we have absolutely NOTHING to do, AND we were invited on a little camping excursion, we decided to go to Sequoia National Park. That place is remarkable! You just can’t even understand how enormous these trees are unless you see them for yourself. ┬áThe pictures don’t do them justice, although you can kind of get a feel for it. We had the chance to visit the biggest tree in the world, “General Sherman”, eat lunch on a fallen Sequoia trunk, drive through a trunk of one, and have our camp site literally crawling with bears! We intended on staying for at least 5 nights, but ended up only camping for 2 because bears were continually popping up. The first night there, I heard a bear sniffing around right outside our tent, above my head. He rummaged around in our stuff, and even left some paw prints and claw marks. One walked about 5 feet behind me, when my husband spotted one trying to reach our trash. I think it was a little much for us moms with little ones around. It was a good time though, and I’m so glad we got to see those beautiful trees. If you are ever near there, or are trying to figure out a place to camp, you really should check it out.
